First snow

For the past one week, everyone that I know has been telling me that it's gonna snow this Saturday. Walking home from Nish and Jess's apartment at 5a.m this morning, at 3 degrees celsius, I was hoping to experience the first snow. Well, of course it did not happen. At this point, some of you might be wondering what was I doing on the street at 5a.m in the morning. Here's the story.

On friday night, I went to Salem with a bunch of friends, this include my beloved fellow malaysians, (Jess, Nish, Lionel and Lisa)! By now, I think I've met most of them! Yay~ Anyways, Salem is about 30 to 40 mins T and train ride from Boston. It is a witchcraft town, with witchcraft museum, haunted house and stuff like that. Most of the people who go to Salem during the Halloween season usually dress up in Halloween costume. Last night, I saw a batman, spiderman, superman, wonderwoman, *chucky*, and some girls dressed up in bunny suites and slutty waitress. I bought myself a pair of huge glasses and a pair of red glittery devil horn!*pics up soon*. My first Halloween!! more like a pre-halloween thingi. Anyways, got back to Boston around 12ish, went to Jess and Nish's apartment and played board games and black jack!ahahah..till 5 am. Yes, bAd baD Bad! No regrets!

Okay, back to snow. Around 1.30pm, Mayumi called and told me that it's snowing! I looked out the window, and yes, it's snowing!!!omg..I went crazy for a while calling everyone on my phone list, well, not everyone, but, yeah, telling them it's snowing!!!muahahaah...can you imagine how excited I'm. Yes, very! While typing this post, it's still snowing outside. I have a feeling that I'll soon grow to hate it, but for now, I'm just as happy as ever. Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

Halloween party tonight and Gwen Stefani's concert on Monday!! With mid-term next week. What a week!=D

Falling sick

Which is worse, to fall sick or sick? I don't know. I'm in the process of falling sick I guess..geezz..this sounds wrong. Falling sick? Anyways, yes, I'm down with flu, sore throat and slight fever, I think. Took a whole bunch of pills last night, didn't really help. So, instead of going to classes, I skipped one of my classes today. Considering I have only two classes today, so, it's kinda bad..but, you know what? I don't care! Cause I'm sick!...and my heater is not co-operating well with me!!!it's freezing!!!

Surrender

I felt a sudden touch while listening to eagle's wings by Hilsongs. Often, I prayed that may the Lord take charge of my life. Back to reality, I wonder how often I surrender all into Lord's hand. I thought I did, but, thinking back now, I don't think I did. Guilt and shame fills my heart...I pray for a soul that will surrender it all to You, and You only.

Foot massage

I so need one now! I was standing for like 8 hours on Saturday night, more like, I was paid to stand for 8 hours, or maybe more. Of course, besides standing for hours, I need to put up a smiley face all night long. Stupid me was wearing a pair of flat but pointy shoes! I was so tired by the time I got out from work. I even reach the point of taking off my shoes and start walking, more like running, cause the floor was freezing! And two guys who were still wandering on Newbury,*the street where I live on*, saw me, and ask, "aren't you cold?"! I was like, duh, try doing it and let me know if it's warm! geezZzz..of course it's cold, what do you think?? Besides the long standing hours, the ushering job was actually pretty fun. At least, I've gotto listen to all these really great musician play. Most of them are current students at Berklee, but they sound like a real band man! I want to be able to do that in the near future!

Today, I did a lot of walking too. I'm getting tonnes of muscles on my calf! Massage! Please!!

Grace's first paid job!

After weeks of pondering upon my computer screen, waiting for a job reply, I've finally got a temporary job!!yay~Yes, Grace got her first job in America, more like her first paid job in her life. I'll be working as a usher in a music festival organized by Berklee and some other organization. It'll start from 3pm and runs till 12 midnight on Saturday!!The best part is I get paid $7.50 per hour just ushering people to their seats!better still!!Yes, so, this is kind of the highlight of the week.

So far, my week has gone pretty well. I had a really busy weekend, and a rather crazy sunday night. I stayed up till 4 in the morning to do my essay! My monday was a rather long and tiring day, filled with classes and more classes. sigh..but, it's all over now!

So far, my week has been rather dull. The most exciting thing that I did was visit the Boston Public Library!I've never seen such a large library in my life!!Filled with books, and bookworms!Apparently they have a whole section where they have books from the 1600!!omg..

In conclusion, I'm assuming that the peak of the week will fall on Saturday, and hopefully, Sunday!*grin*

Sometimes...Nature can be cruel

Weather report for last week. Rainy, rainy, and rainy! Every now and then, I looked out my window, all that I could see is rain, and a cloudy sky. How I missed the sunshine. It was still bright and warm last week. Half way through the week, the weather suddenly decided to change its mind, from sun to rain.

Last friday night, after movie, Ieva and I decided to walked back from Fenway because we have just missed the last train. Oh well, just a short 15 minutes walk, plus, each of us have our own umbrellas, so, how much worse can the weather do? oh boy, I underestimate nature's abilities!!!Half way through the way, my shoes were wet, I felt as if I was walking in a fish tank! By the time I reach my apartment, I was soak in rain water. Dragging myself up the four flags of stairs in such heavy attire! I was about to collapse when I reach my warm apartment.

However, everything seems to change again throughout the weekend. This morning, I was awaken by the bright sunshine. The weather seems to be fine, but I'm not. I'm still working hard on my essay, oh trust me, I'm working hard on it! Extension had been given, I have no excuse to no hand in a good essay. Therefore, I probably will not be able to sleep tonight. To be honest, I'm kinda thrill by the thought of not sleeping for the first time in Berklee. So far, I haven't been staying up late, I mean to do work. lOlz..I'll be free after Tuesday!So, till then!=)

Grace's burfday partay

So, did Grace celebrated her birthday all alone in the foreign land after all? Did Grace got a birthday cake? Well, this post is gonna tell you did Grace....

On the beautiful morning of the 6th of October, Grace got a call from the flower shop, telling her that there's a delivery on the way. So, Grace got really excited, cause she's getting flowers, from some mysterious person!wooohoo..butterflies in her stomach. After 30 mins, the guy from the flower shop called her up, saying that he is downstairs. Obviously, Grace can't wait, so she ran down that 4 flags of stairs, puzzled to find a hamper, instead of flowers!! Yes, peeps, it was a hamper, with cookies and chocolate! From who? Who else will send you food hamper besides your parents? duh..Disappointment, yet filled with love! My parents actually went online to order me a hamper. They were afraid that I'm not fat enough, hence trying to feed me with more sugar, more food!! I so should have taken a picture of myself when I received that gift. I was smiling to myself when I walked down the ever-posh Newbury Street, thinking that my parents send me a hamper!

So the day went on withouth anything really at all that special. The celebration began at 9pm. Four girls heading off to Cheesecake factory for a scumptous meal, and of course cheesecake. So, here comes birthday cake No. 1. A slice of strawberry cheesecake with candle. The highlight of the event will be singing *Happy Birthday* song in harmony!! The best birthday song I had ever heard. The girls sang me a variety of birthday song, in major key, in minor key..I actually find it pretty amusing. That's what you get when you attend music school. The present of the day, a boquet of daisy and a coffee maker, so that I won't be visiting starbucks that often!

The best is yet to come. I got home, and saw this mail lying down on the table downstairs. I was delighted. When I open the precious envelope, something flew out! Scared me off for a while. I stil haven't figure out what that is. Inside the envelope was two cards sent by charming chua! By the way, charming is his name, not an adjective to describe that chua is charming..lOlz. Thanks bro! The maple leaves are so pretty, they are sitting on my desk now!

Since my birthday fall on a thursday, so some of my friend couldn't make it to celebrate. Therefore, they decided to have a post-burfday partay for me, at my beautiful apartment! We had home-made tacco, well, not by me, but my friend. And a huge home-made chocolate cake!! eheh..There comes cake NO. 2. Then, highlight of the partay, Sammi came visiting! My dear cousin came to visit me, yes, again, this time with presents! Yes, presents.

So, by now, I guess most of my loyal readers are bored and tired with this long and dragging post. When is it gonna end? Soon..hang on!!

Where is cake No. 3? It's a variety of cakes from Mike's pastry! Yes, they have really delicious cheesecake!woo..it was so good!!

Basically, Grace's birthday weekend was pratically spent eating, shopping and watching tv. We are good girls, we stay at home and watch TV. lOlz..geezzz..I think I put on a few extra pounds at the end of the weekend, eating leftover pasta, pastries, and sushi!

It was definitely a great weekend. I totally forgot about work for a while. Now, I'll have to work extra hard. Have a paper due this friday! I haven't even started on it..Do pray for me!=)

Turning 20, no more a teen. I thank God for His constant guidance throughout these 20 years. I thank God for His abundance blessings. After saying a short prayer, this song came up on my laptop.

Empty promises to God had often been made throughout the years. Yet, god is a gracious God. He’s always willing to forgive me. I thank God for that. I pray that I’ll be able to live for Him, and Him alone, for the rest of my days, starting on the very day I turn 20.

Thank you all for the lovely greetings. You guys made me feel not alone in this foreign land! Thank you. I can’t stop feeling thankful! Thanks to my loving parents who constantly support every move I make, my entertaining brothers, my lovely cousin sisters, and all my friends! On top of my relationship with God, I cherish my relationship with everyone of you more than anything!
