Thanksgiving BĀ®eak
Thanksgiving weekend was rather busy, and demanding. Starting with a 6 hours and 30 minutes bus ride to New York on Wednesday. My second trip for the semester. It usually takes only about 4 hours to go from Boston to New York, however, since this is the thanksgiving weekend, traffic was rather heavy. So, instead of a 4 hours journey, it drag on to like 6 hours nearly 7.
Upon arriving, I met up with Sammi, dear cousin from Cornell. We took a cab to the hostel, drop our bags off, and went out for the first meal of the day!! Got back to the hostel with a rosy cheek due to drinking, and slept.
The original plan was to watch the Macy's parade on Thursday morning, which was on Thanksgiving day. However, in order to get the perfect seat to watch the parade, people get in line at 3am in the morning! When was the last time I wake up at 3am?! I'm srue by now my wise reader had figure out that Sammi and I missed the parade! We lied to our parents, so please to keep it low. lOlz.. We got up at 10ish, when the parade is over. The whole day was spent walking and walking..We probably walked like a whole 50 blocks..By the end of the day, I was so tired of walking, can't wait to go back and sleep!!and of course, prepared for the day, Black Friday!
!!!!!Black Friday!!!!! This time, we woke up at 5am in the morning, arrived at Macy at 6am! Never had I been so punctual in my entire life. By 6am, Macy was full of people, and angry looking sales people. After shopping for like 4 hours in Macy, we decided to head off to 5th Ave. All the way till evening, when we finally have our nice dinner at Little Italy. Believe me, it was a very exciting day. I had a long paragraph on black friday, but stupid stupid me accidentally deleted everything!! sighs..
Before I could regain all my energy, I was on my way back to Boston. This time, the journey was rather smooth. I took the 10am bus, and arrived at Boston around 2pm. The scenery along the way was rather sad..snow on the side of the road, *botak trees*, and of course road. I used to think that snow is so beautiful, until I came to Boston. Except for the first snow, I have a feeling that I'll hate snow after this. I can't imagine how harsh winter could be, for I haven't experience it yet..Dragging yourself out from your warm cozy bed, putting on layers and layers of clothings, force yourself out of the door, ready to be tortured by the brutal nature...iekk...
***Back to Boston***
Met up with Yenny and Mayumi at Shaws, got our groceries, and headed back to Yen's to cook. Peepz, I made chicken curry!! We had sushi, spring rolls, chicken curry and 2 chocolate cakes!! The thanksgiving dinner was rather successful, a small party, but loads of fun. Eat, talk and drink!!! fun, fun, fun!! Pics will explain it all...
